Hi. I have 2 mature (30 years old) blue spruce trees which are located near each other; they are not touching but are only separated by 6 feet at this point. One of the trees has needle cast disease to the point where a tree service company has advised that I cut it down, and I plan to do that soon. The adjacent tree has very minor signs of the disease at this point, and I am trying to figure out how to treat it. The tree service company says it would apply "Manzate". My research tells me that this is perhaps not the best treatment and instead I should use Daconil Fungicide Concentrate from GardenTech. Do you have a recommendation on either of these or some other choice for treating this problem? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello! I work for a small non-profit that is interested in starting its own seed library with only seed indigenous to Minnesota. I have been working my way through this list - https://extension.umn.edu/find-plants/vegetables - and comparing each vegetable to the plants in this database - https://webapps15.dnr.state.mn.us/restore_your_shore. So far, I haven't found (m)any vegetables in the native plants database. Are there vegetables that are native to our state, and, if so, what is the most efficient way for me to find a comprehensive list of these? Thank you!!

I'm thinking of growing potatoes in my garden. I am relatively new to gardening and have no knowledge or experience with growing potatoes. I'm looking for the basic information (best type of potato to plant for the Cincinnati area, how big of an area, when to plant/harvest, best soil, raised bed or ground, plant by seed or just cut up a purchased potato, etc.) for growing potatoes? The simpler the better. Also, I'm not looking to have to use any insecticides or pesticides. I do the weeding by hand. Could you please provide me with that information?
