Miniature Pik Zee peach with fungus? #752883

Hello, This tree was purchased from Grange Coop in Sept 2020 & planted in Feb 2021. It has been doing very well & seems very robust. The last pic is before it got the disease. Then in last couple weeks it has quickly become covered with brown/ magenta spots on some leaves & bark has browning spots also. One nursery expert says for sure peach shot hole fungus. I’ve been advised to not spray copper fungicide in summer; wait until fall for copper. He says use liquid kelp throughout summer to strengthen the tree. I decided to spray it with Serenade to see if it helps. That was yesterday. Other suggestions please!?

I just bought BioAdvanced Rose and Flower Care which is listed as killing aphids, lace bugs, leaf beetles, leaf miners and other listed insects. I have been an organic gardener so am unfamiliar with chemicals. Will this hurt bees or any other beneficial insects?

We bought this fig a year ago snd this lemon two years ago. Both reported this year and both super sad. The fig is drooping with this speckled leafs and the lemon has yellowing leaves. Tried to research online but nothing consistent.

Yellow branches on young northern white cedar #752825

My daughter received a northern white cedar tree sapling through school (neighborhood forest program) in 2014. It has been growing nicely until this season where now about half the branches and their needles gave turned yellow. Do you know what had caused this and if there is anything we can do to save the tree?

Our house came with a lot of what I call country yellow irises (pink peonies, pink phlox and orange ditch lilies too). We dug the yellow irises up and moved them to the outskirts of our 5 acres in Afton. I love irises and planted several different colors in my beds near my house. Now, two or three years later some of these new ones are yellow while surrounded by their purple breatheren. Are they turning yellow because of cross pollination with the yellows in the field? Any thought how not to let this happen or what to do? Thank you!

Forest Tent Caterpillar - Problem? #752814

Hello, I live in Hinesburg Vermont and am observing a massive presence of what I believe are Forest Tent Caterpillars on my property. They are all over the sides of the garage, house, and since I started looking in many of the trees. I've never noticed them on the house/garage before in the 20yrs we have lived here. I have sprayed my apples and pears from mid-bloom to now with Captain Jack's Deadbug at ~ 10 day intervals (May 10, 21 and 30). Does this sound adequate to control codling moth? For how long should I continue? (All the way through June, or beyond?) Other advice?

I'm in Alsea, OR and planted 10 b. jacquemontii about 12 years ago. One died a couple of years ago and I just figured 'trees die'. But this year I noticed two others looking pretty distressed. In poking around, I learned about bronze birch borer, which apparently showed up in the valley about two years ago. I now understand it's been a serious problem in nearby Corvallis, OR . What a pest! So I have some questions. 1) how do I get rid of it; are the botanists nearby I can contact to see if they can inoculate/treat them? 2) Since they form a sort of allée, I'd like to replant and wonder if you varieties that are are borer-resistant, or have some resistance to them; and 3) where in Oregon can I get them? I planted the organic variety of Detriot Dark beet seed in the soil on April 11, 2021. The germination time is not given on the seed packet, however, I am only seeing just a few sprouts pop out of the ground, not even 2" tall. Should I re-seed them? If so, should I soak the seeds first or doesn't that really make any difference.

Aspen suckers in the Lawn #752752

I have been pulling/cutting aspen suckers in the lawn. Someone told me that I could use Roundup on them but I thought that that would be bad for the aspen tree colony-I don’t want to harm the tree(s). Does herbicide go back to the tree? Or can it be used on suckers. I’ve seen both recommendations when I tried to research it.

Did not come to full leaf this year. Wonder why? Pictures attached. Dead leaves on tree are from last year. I trimmed many dead branches. Nothing has changed in terms of neighboring plants. Please advise.
