Hello, I am a flower farmer, going on my fourth season and I have never had my soil tested.  I am looking to find out more information to assure my soil is healthy for next season. Do you offer soil testing?  Also can you send a link to your free master gardener class?

Hello, We planted a silky dogwood in spring 2024 (from Lauren's nursery) in a moist to wet area of our garden with partial sun. It grew well and appeared healthy until mid-august when the leaves started to curl inwards. Is this normal for a silky dogwood towards the end of summer? Some of the leaves have grey spots. The attached photos were taken on October 22, 2024.

Hello, I'm splitting wood from a neighbor's ash tree and noticed it is infested with larvae of a boring beetle. The larvae generally look like Emerald Ash Borer larvae, but I couldn't find a key to positively identify the larvae. I've attached pictures and also have specimens. Are they EAB larvae? If so, is thereany actions that should be taken? Thank you.

I was preparing my garden raised beds for winter cover crop and have been finding these roots with nodules all over the garden beds. Any idea what these are? We have a Port Orford Cedar and an Alder tree near the garden, the garden is in NW Corvallis Thank you!

We are a small group of people here in SE Michigan (Monroe county) starting a community group to advocate for the Monarch. We have given a few talks to some groups in our area. We're using any information we receive to collectively educate & spark interest as many as possible to help bring back the numbers that have desperately declined. We are a non-profit. We are wondering if there is any available resources that we can utilize in our project that we are unaware of through our extension office? We would appreciate any information to help us through this new adventure! Any help is welcome.

My Texas Live Oak is 20 years old it looks great and healthy.  But has general bulging in the trunk see picture.  

Will the tree live for many more years?

I have 3 very large cottonwood trees on about .5 acre residential lot. They are a nuisance to my family and our neighbors and we all want them gone. All 3 are right along fence lines and/or close to a house where there is no room to just cut them down. We are currently strapped for money any looking for an inexpensive way to take down the trees. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

For several years I continually have had fungi (or spores?) the size of baseballs and softballs in my front yard. They initially are quite hard and later open up with a foul smell and dark puff. For the past few years I dig them up and throw them out. Any ideas on lawn treatment for eradication?

Help figuring out why these trees are dying. There is a group of four above a swale that are dying and a group of 3 below the swale are growing just fine. All planted at the same time. I'm hesitant to plant new trees until i know what has happened to these.
