I planted a Skyline Honey Locust tree near my house. How do I prune/train to ensure a wide spread canopy to shade the house? Thank you!

We were at Ritner Creek Bridge today 8/25/24 In addition to a dead deer blocking the path to the river, we believe there is also cyanotoxin in the water. Near the footprint moccasin section in the Bedrock. Hope someone can go out and test the water and move the deer.

I planted red haven peach trees which have been doing great until recently. I havent watered much the passed 2 months due to all the rain we received. Pictures are posted. Please let me know if you have any ideas on what could be wrong or could give me a good resource locally. The second and third pictures is my pear tree which was thriving up until the last month. Any thoughts?

Is this a bad summer for rust? We seem to have it all over. We have had it other summer but treated it and all was ok.

Our green ash is dropping its leaves. The leaves are still green and branches are bare where leaves has dropped off. The tree has adequate water. Any ideas? Joel Huser Stillwater MN

Hi! I have a question about my rhododendron. It was doing well earlier this season (nice flowering in the spring), but recently it has started to suffer. The leaves are browning and falling and it looks like parts of it are dying off. Do you know what might be going on with it? I can't tell if there is something unusual happening with the bark. Is there a systemic fungicide that can be broadcast around the base of apple trees to control scab. Spraying helps on the foliage but the fruit is still affected making the entire crop worthless. I have six apple trees in my yard and it's not worth harvesting any apples. With the cost of the liquid fungicides it has become cost prohibitive to continue with trying to grow my own apples.

Why are my tomato plant leaves yellowing?

I noticed today that one of my hens appears to have vent gleet.  All I have in the house is Vagicort, which apparently also contains a corticosteroid (which I understand is bad for chickens)  I don't drive and my husband is out of town; I am stuck at our house in the country until Friday (5 days).  Besides an epsom salt bath and hopefully some probiotics or fermented beans, what can I do for her in the interim?

On my property I have 5-6 white spruce trees that are infected with eastern spruce gall, and 9-10 spruce trees that are not infected. These spruce trees are 15-20 years old. One tree seems to be infected much worse than the others, but is more than 50 feet away from any other spruce tree. Some of the trees that are infected are near others that are not. I understand that it is primarily an aesthetic issue, but is there anything I can do to prevent this from spreading to other trees or to prevent further infestations? If there is a different form I should use for this question, please let me know. Thank you for your help!
