I planted some pink lady apple seeds about 4 years ago. The tree is about 10 feet tall now and seems pretty healthy. I have heard that apple trees grown from seed don't produce fruit well. Can you provide any information on whether or when I might expect fruit? Thank you.

Hi! I am having a large combined bed excavated and will bring in some new soil and I would like some recommendations for mix ins — beds will be mixed w perennial flowers / shrubs. For example how can I add organic matter without adding more phosphorus? When I dug up my soil for the test I saw a lot of clay in multiple areas. That wasn’t mentioned in the test results as far as I can tell? Thanks!

Does the soil to be sample need to be dry?

My serviceberry is dying from the top down. I did spray the top down. I did spray it with an anti fungal due to powdery mildew. Soil ph is 7, fairly moist clay/loam. Sun is partly sunny to shade. Location is Plymouth, MN.

Hello, I have a fairly large patch of Poison Ivy in the area behind my back yard, and last few years it has started to trickle into my yard. I have tried spraying it with a chemical spray a few times now, which seems somewhat effective but doesn't seem to fully go away. Ideally I'd like to get rid of it naturally somehow, or without chemicals that might damage the soil or surrounding plants. Do you have any suggestions? Also, would it be safe to plant a flower or vegetable garden of some kind in this same soil after the poison ivy is removed? This little insect has been eating wool in my house. I’ve been able to get rid of the majority of them but I keep finding them. What is it and how do I get rid of it?

Hi, I recently had my soil analyzed. The results show I should use a 3-0-4 fertilizer and I am struggling to find a fertilizer with close to these numbers. The "how to read your results" video says not to go over the phosphorus number (0 in my case). I found a fertilizer with 0 phosphorous, but the nitrogen ratio is much higher than my recommended 3 (15). Is this OK? Or, can you recommend a fertilizer I should use (for my flower and veggie garden)? Thanks.
