I have a north-facing yard that I'm attempting to xeriscape. Need a nice narrow tree (15'-20' tall max./10' wide max). Ideally, an evergreen, like the Bosnian Satellite. Any ideas?

Citrus trees after the 2021 freeze #744826

I had 3 large orange trees (satsuma, orange and one tangerine or small orange) and 2 Meyer lemons which were high producers the last few years.  They are somewhat protected between 2 homes and are planted in the ground.  The leaves turned brown but stayed on the trees.  There are places where bark is visibly damaged and peeling off.   Is there any hope?  When should I call it done and remove the trees?  Thanks.

Chalkbrood in 2020 killed both of my hives. How do I prevent in 2021 nucs? #744048

I live in Auburn, Washington State.  My hives were diagnosed with chalkbrood in 2020.  I lost both hives.  I'll be picking up my new nucs in late April.  I thought I would sand the inside of my hive boxes and blow out the dust.  Do I need new frames or can I reburbish the 2020 ones?  I don't understand exactly how chalkbrood was introduced or what to do to prevent it going forward.  Any help would be appreciated!  Thanks in advance.  Tim

Who is responsible for a bed bug infestation in an apartment? A few years ago, it was the landlord who had to pay for the elimination of bed bugs. Now my landlords says that I will need to pay. Also, they do not seem to realize that my unit will not be the only one needing treatment. I am a senior living on SSI and a small pension. I am also not as mobile as I used to be.
