Plant identification assistance, and invasive plant removal #431442

Requesting assistance please, in two areas. What species of plant might this be? How might be eradicate and successfully remove it? I have heard this is how you remove the Tree of Heaven, invasive plant, might this be a similar way to remove it? One good way is to cut them off at the base and immediately (within five minutes) coat the stump with undiluted brush killer (trichlopyr), which is available in most garden centers as Lilly Miller Brush Killer in the herbicide section. We would like to cut off the top 1.5 feet of our corn. Silks are brown, but ears are not filled totally. Will we harm the plant, ie decrease yield? Thanks.

Carpet Beetles on Goatsbeard Plant: harm Plant or risk getting into my house? #404320

Hello,  I have carpet beetles all over my Goatsbeard Plant.  Will this harm the plant?  More importantly will I be at risk for me or my pet bringing them inside my house?  Should I get rid of the plant or do something to get rid of the beetles on my plant?  What predatory insects eat them?

Identifying a plant, plant removal #378470

Can you help me identify this plant? I'm not sure if it is a shrub or a type of tree. It appears to spread by sending shoots underground, and is actually clumps of these, some of which become quite woody and send out branches. The tallest sections are about 9 ft. tall. I would like to remove these, what is the best way to do that? Thank you!

I recently moved and brought with me my Mom's peony plant I have had for 15 years. The association I live in does not allow altering to the landscaping. Will it survive if I leave it in the pot it is in? Recommendations on care for this plant to insure it will continue to grow and come back for many years? Thanks.

Hello. I live just W of downtown Mpls. (suburbs). 1.) I found this one stray 'plant' while out walking this morning & pulled it - please tell me what it is because I'd love to try to keep it growing. 2 PICS ATTACHED 2.) This winter I would like to try to grow a few herbs all winter - only a 'small' number, about the size that would cover a regular stovetop (spacewise). I've been reading about 'grow light bulbs', in particular 'CFL' (condensed fluoresc. lighting/lightbulbs). I do NOT want to buy any traditional 'long tube' fluor. lighting fixtures but ONLY use light bulbs. I READ ON ONE WEBSITE THAT WHAT I SHOULD TRY is to use the 'CFL' lightbulbs, PLUS the GE 'Reveal' type, plus any other brand promoting itself as promoting 'nice white/authentic sun' sort of lighting. DO YOU THINK THIS IS TRUE? WHAT I HAVE IN MIND is that I would just set 3 little lamps by my herbs & keep all of them on for x / hrs. / day. TY !

Hello, I am going to plant native plant seeds on my septic mound and read that Oct is the best time. However the mound has just been put in and needs cover now. Can I plant the native seed now or is it best to plant something else first? If so, what would that be, rye? Thank you, Liz
