I received info re the above that I should cover my young plants as soon as I plant them in the garden - May and definitely through June and keep monitoring all summer. How can covering them in May, etc "stop" the aphids and cabbage worms when they area already living in the ground and just have to come up through the soil to my plants?
When I cover them, should the cover "not" be touching the plants or do I just lay the cover on top of the plants? Do I ever remove the cover at all during the months of May and June? .
