Hello, my backyard has had Lesser celandine for years. Each year the amount grows in size. Last year, at it's peak, it covered the entire backyard. I understand digging out is optimal, but I believe it is too late for this. I understand herbicides may be used before flowering (February?) I have never applied herbicides before. I saw the 4countycwma.orf website recommends "For any herbicide applications we urge you to work with a licensed herbicide applicator". Do you have recommendations on a good approach, or a recommended contractor that I might pursue? Thanks!

How do I have my garden soil tested?

We have an area to the west of our new house that I want to create a flower garden. There is partial sun and full sun available in the area. Do you have any information or advice on how to make seed tapes to bury in garden rows? I'd like to try starting lettuce, carrot, and other small seeds in the garden, but the seeds are hard to space out. An Internet site suggests making seed tapes by cutting fairly thin strips of toilet paper the length of the row, and putting seeds in dots of flour and water paste along the strips spaced as recommended for each type seed. I want to avoid having little clumps of sprouts emerging, as I usually do when i put seeds in the garden plot because they are hard to handle.Thanks very much. Anne
