Birch tree dying #889477

I have 3 birch trees (Betula papyrifera) with large branches dying. The trees were planted in 2009 and thrived until the last couple of years. My local landscape person thought it was a beetle and recommended cutting out the dead sections. We removed the dead portions but the dying branches are continuing to appear. Is there anything I can do to save these trees?

I planted two blueberry bushes in pots this spring, and watered them well during the summer. I stopped watering all my outdoor plants starting mid-September to let them go dormant for the fall/winter. I noticed today that one of the blueberry bushes (the back one in the photo) is wilting. With the warm weather and the drought, should I water it, or is this what blueberry bushes do when they go dormant in winter?

My soil test results recommend a 12-12-12 fertilizer and potash for my soil. This is new ground just broken for a garden to be planted next spring. I am currently working at building up the soil with compost material, but am wondering if it benefits the soil at all to add fertilizer now (in the fall) as well as in the spring, or should I wait and add it, as instructed, before planting in the spring?

My soil was tested last spring. Nitrogen test 8.36. Phosphorus test 41.63. Potassium test 28.15. Magnesium, Iron, and boron low. I can’t get rid of the phosphorus but I can add nitrogen and potassium. Do I fertilize now or in the the spring or both and with what do you recommend?

Most greenhouses or nurseries sell mums in the fall. In reading the info on this site I have acquired most of the Mammoth mums - but cannot find a place to purchase the smaller cushion mums like Minngopher, Minnqueen, Snowsota, etc. Does the University have a list of places one can purchase any of the mums it has developed?
