  • Aerated and reseeded lawn but no watering cycle was followed #889493

    Hello We had asked someone to aerate and reseed our lawn and he came by to do it about 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately, there was a mix-up in communication, and we only watered the lawn twice since then (it did not help that the lawn is fairly big around 0.2 acres and my wife & I had some health issues come up so could not water manually as initially hoped). We were informed only 2 days ago that we should have been watering every 2 days on account of the dry weather we have been having here (Montgomery county). Is it too late for us to do anything? Any advice on it would be helpful. Thanks!! -jay

    Want to remove large shrubs from utility area. Dont want to pull out due to utility lines. If cut to ground and cover with tarp and rocks will it grow back.

    Birch tree dying #889477

    I have 3 birch trees (Betula papyrifera) with large branches dying. The trees were planted in 2009 and thrived until the last couple of years. My local landscape person thought it was a beetle and recommended cutting out the dead sections. We removed the dead portions but the dying branches are continuing to appear. Is there anything I can do to save these trees?

    I planted two blueberry bushes in pots this spring, and watered them well during the summer. I stopped watering all my outdoor plants starting mid-September to let them go dormant for the fall/winter. I noticed today that one of the blueberry bushes (the back one in the photo) is wilting. With the warm weather and the drought, should I water it, or is this what blueberry bushes do when they go dormant in winter?
