My backyard is over run with moles. I treat for grubs and have not seen any. I’m thinking they are eating my earth worms. What do you suggest?

Hello, I have followed your advice to mulch grass, and now leaves in the fall. We have a lot of leaves and I'm concerned that they might smother the grass. Is there a fertilizer that I could spread to quicken the decomposition? I've read that a fertilizer high in nitrogen will do that; make sense? (I think I know just enough to be dangerous.) Leaves are mainly hickory, red & white oak and maple. Thank you again.

my soil indicates that these levels are above optimum. Will that hamper or benefit the growth of veg plants? And what does it mean that my soil in "mineral". is that good or bad or what plants will and will not grow in this soil? ph levels are good and potassium is good

I have a mass planting of the above plant and they are dying. It started in one small area last year and the whole planting is slowly dying. Any ideas on what the problem is would be greatly appreciated. Phots attached Many thanks.

attached are pics of both sides of one of the afflicted leaves found on my pear trees. I have an Anjou and 2 Bosq. this condition is on a few leaves that started out with a rusty orange spot on one side. By the end of summer a growth on the backside began to form. I showed it to someone schooled in botany and they said it was a nest for a new life form. anyhow, would you have any diagnosing this? We live in Springfield. The yard does get some air movement out of the SW or NW.the bare root pear trees were planted 2 years ago in a combination of native clay soil and composted soil purchased from LaneForestProducts.

Hello. My large white oak tree did not produce any acorns this year. Last year it had a smaller than usual crop. We have lived here 37 years and this tree has always had a bumper crop up until now. It looks to be healthy. It does not exhibit any rot around the base or root area. Can you tell me why there is a sudden decline in acorns? Thank you.

Hi! I have a built-in patio bed and there’s a stump (almost positive it was that amur honeysuckle) and it has fungus growing on it. I planted hostas next to it and they all died (also could have been too much sun and deer snacking on them). Before I try to plant there again I’m wondering if the fungus could be detrimental to other plant life. I’ve attached a photo. Thank you!
