We had several dead trees, removed and cleared from about an 1/2 acre area and smoothed out that same area. Underneath is a leech field on part of it. I would like to plant something native to our area, such as grasses- Perhaps wild flowers mixed in… We have abundance of deer in the area And birds that I would like to be cognizant of in the planting. Any ideas?

Drooping plant #892323

Hello, I have a drooping plant that has been well for the last 7 years but about 4 months ago started drooping and curling leaves. It is in the same location and I have been using the same type of water and watering it every 1-2 weeks. About 4 months ago the leaves started curling and turning yellowish. I have written to you before and they suggested transplanting it into a larger pot which I did 2 weeks ago but it isn't getting any better. Any suggestions?

I live in the eastern part of Washington County (west slope) and have 3 European pear trees in my 15 tree orchard. They have been very productive until the last 2-3 years when they developed "red spot" fungal disease. I can not remove my neighbor's juniper bushes. Is there any safe anti fungal spray program or do I just need to destroy these otherwise wonderful trees?

Can you pressure can meat with onions added to it? A relative is concerned she will have to throw away her jars of pressure canned meat she had included onions in because after the fact she came across information that stated the onions change the pH level and can cause spoilage.

Cannabis growing medium ph levels #892317

I’m growing cannabis in a peat based soilless medium. I recently limed the medium to raise the ph of the soil but raised the ph to 7.1 one whole ph point more than I wanted. Is a ph of 7.1 too high for cannabis growing medium? I read it should be 5.8 to 6.2, how big of a sin is a ph of 7.1?

I am an ATV club member and we have recently completed ATV trails. Now we would like to beautify some of our trail areas. Is there a program to assist nonprofits achieve this? And what plants would you recommend? Trails go through forest areas as well as open areas. I have contacted a local master gardener but he is unaware of any program

Oozing thick amber sap on nectarine tree #892314

Our dwarf nectarine tree was afflicted with peach leaf curl last spring. We controlled it wi3copper fungicide. Late last summer it began oozing thick amber sap in various places. Local nursery could not help with diagnoses or treatment. What do we do now?

Front of house flowerbed faces north: full shade. Current hostas die back for 6 months, leaving dirt bare. 4.5 wide, 30 ft length. Need foundation plantings at a minimum; prefer 3 ft evergreen balls w low shade perennials in front. Help!

Why do you not include two common very obnoxious flies found most everywhere outdoors in Minnesota, especially rural areas. Stable Flies and Deer flies? (maybe I just missed them)
