Himalayan Birch susceptible to beetle borer insect? #889734

Hi there, thinking about planting a Himalayan Birch in a light medium shade/ sun area. I was reading that a specific birch borer beetle had switched birches they attack years back all over Oregon. is the himalayan birch not a good choice these days for landscape tree? We plant a lot of evergreens and deciduous trees and shrubs that are resistant to Verticillium Wilt. Our soil seems to have that throughout much of our yard… please advise

My flowers like zinnias, bachelor buttons, and other annuals usually suffer from disease mid- to late-season (leaves turning brown or black and falling off). I try to water only early in the day and on the ground, and remove affected leaves or plants. I plan on moving what I plant around to different locations, and would like to treat for potential disease preemptively next spring if that's a good idea. Do you have any recommendations for a fungicide or other treatment? Thank you very much for your help!

My friend who lives in Hot Springs Ar. Found what she believed to be a leaf on her deck and upon picking it up noticed it was alive. I have tried to discover what it is. Nothing. It is about an inch across at the "wings". It appears to follow her with bright eye stalks when she enters the room. Many strange things have been occuring, which she has captured with her camera. Flashing lights, rapid physical changes and such. Any ideas?

We have a 30 year old Ash we have had treated ( preventative) and tagged every 2 years for about 8 years now ( approx ) our towns ash trees are dying by the dozens . According to one tree trimming company even treated Ash are given about a 50/50 chance still getting the bore . What say your experts ?
