We cannot identify the white object (or the insect visible in one or two of the photos, which might be incidental), and recommend that your friend contact the Extension program in their state to ask for ID help. We are familiar with local plant and insect life, but won't necessarily recognize the species of insects in other regions. They probably won't be able to ID the plant sample from just the leaf or petal or seed pod husk that was collected, but it won't hurt to ask.
