Do you have a list of certified arborists in Maryland who could evaluate the health of very large trees on my property? I would prefer to have someone who is separate from a tree cutting company. Recently saw a web page describint a unique technology (https://arboretum.umd.edu/academics/sustainable-projects/campus-tree-radar-unit-trutm) and wondered if this might be available to in my area-Montgomery County, MD. Do you know anything about it?
Thank you.

Hi Maria,
Your best option will be to contact your county extension office. I have included a link to their website and contact information. Good luck!

I submitted my question via the website you reference above. So I'm not clear what I did incorrectly. Please advise.
Hello Maria,
The simplest way to look for a certified arborist is to use either the ISA (International Society of Arboriculture, linked page) search tool, as they are the accrediting organization for arborists, or to use the Maryland DNR's link for finding licensed tree experts. We don't know which tree companies or individual arborists have access to the technology you mentioned. Extension doesn't collect information on arborist services or recommend particular businesses, so we don't have a list to share, but the search tool pages linked above are the most direct way to locate candidates to hire.
