I'm not sure why my plant is now dying. Please help save her.

If 75% of the property owners of a large section of an existing Charter Township agree, can that section incorporate as a new Township? If 75% of the property owners of a large section of an existing Charter Township agree, can that section petition to become part of an adjacent Township and simply move the border of that other Township to include the section of the original township? I see that cities and villages can annex land, and the residents of the land can vote to join a city or village. is the same true of simply moving the border?

My lawn care company (that provides regular and ongoing fertilization and weed control applications throughout the year) just called me advising that I should hire them to treat my lawn for mites this year, as "this will be an especially bad year" for mites.  They at first suggested 4 applications of mite control, but after discussing, they said that as we have recently received a good dumping of moisture, we could skip the application for November, do one in December, and see from there.

Is this a beneficial treatment, or are they just selling me a (un-necessary) service?

The client has rats getting into her chicken coop. They are unable to access the chicken feed but are still getting into the coop. She has covered their entry ways with metal but they continue to gnaw their way into the coop.

Hello! I'm on the leadership team of a large community garden in Saint Paul. We recently discovered a couple of worms that we suspect are jumping worm. We're waiting on the DNR for a positive ID but the worms were too small for them to make a positive ID. Whether the worms are jumping worms or not, we want to create some guidelines for our gardeners along with jumping worm information. Do you have any advice or resources particular to a community garden setting? We were wondering if a Master Gardener with knowledge about jumping worms would be open to volunteering at our winter meeting in February to field questions about jumping worms, weigh in on some guidelines for gardeners, and chat about vegetable gardening in general. Or exact date hasn't been set yet but it will be sometime in February. Thanks! Elissa Mallory

I have a 50 yr old Norway Spruce. For a couple of years I noticed that the o side of the tree was getting sparse looking. You could kind of see through it. Now we just noticed the needles all over the tree are turning brown. I looked under a magnifying glass at green and brown needles and saw no black spots, nothing. The green needles look perfectly healthy. What is the problem?? Could it be the drought. We had a plumbing problem in the spring and there was a bit of digging around the tree then.
