Is there any way I can stop a blueberry farm from destroying the forest on the property next to me? Last year they destroyed 35-40 acres of forest for blueberries. They purchased the 30 acres that abutt my property, I have 10 acres that I have lived on for 25 years. Between myself and my father we have paid taxes in Fruitland Township for at least 75 years. This is forested land with a house that they plan on leaving. This property is in Rural Residential and is NOT in the agricultural overlay. I am very concerned about my water quality as well as the environment surrounding me. There are already many blueberry farms in the area. We do not need any more!

How can I know what this bright pink stuff is and what should I do about it? #890715

We have recently been seeing a lot of a bright pink substance around our shower drain, vanity sink and in gaps in the tub sliding door. Most recently we have discovered it around seems between the underlayment and formica in the kitchen of a rental on our property. Besides the bright pink nature, I'm not sure if we're dealing with the same substance everywhere and I'm not sure how to tell. Can I easily test to find out if the formica pink stuff is organic and, if so, if it is harmful? How should we deal with it? If we eliminate it, is that enough or do we need to replace the entire underlayment of the counter?

Hello, I had a flourishing strawberry plant in a pot, which I brought into my garage before the first frost. I had been watering it daily (as a moisture meter indicated the soil was dry daily), but am now watering it weekly. It looks very bad! I have attached a picture. What should I be doing differently?

I want to test my soil to determine the best native plants for plantings in various areas around my 3 acre parcel. Note, the majority of the parcel is heavily wooded with hardwoods species where we we are interested in planting understory trees to support birds and insect populations. When is the best time to submit a soil sample for testing and are there any requirements such as outdoor temp or not after a rain event I should be aware of for the most accurate testing. We have owned our lot for 25 years and have never applied fertilizers. Thank you

Good morning! Someone near a city park planted bamboo many years ago, and it has spread into the park. We are working with the City of East Lansing Parks & Rec department to work on removing it, but they aren't sure how to go about it, and neither are we. Do you have any advice for us, please?
