Odd growth on espalier apple tree #889242

I live mid coast, less than 1/2 mile from shore, but up out of of main fog zone. I have a south-facing apple tree. A Akane or King main branch has patches of growth along underside. Is it something that needs to be treated and with what? Photo attached

Overwintered Peas #889234

To whom it may concern, I am growing overwinter peas in the Burlington area. Ideally they should be about four inches before they get covered with straw for the winter. However, I planted them a little early and they are 6-8 inches tall (a few closer to ten). I was wondering if they are okay to overwinter that developed or should I cut them back? Will cutting them back hurt them? Thanks for your help.

Can you give me any suggestions for over-wintering this potted banana tree on my deck? It's supposed to survive cold temperatures although I understand it does back. Should I cover it and/or wrap the pot or do anything else? I have a greenhouse and can move it there if need be. Thank you in advance!

Hello, We need to put down Bermuda grass seed next year, probably mid May. We are trying to grow our lawn from seed to avoid high costs and don't mind waiting a few years for it to get established. But crabgrass prevailed this year and we would like to prevent it from coming back next year. I know about pre-emergent, but I'm afraid it will interfere with the Bermuda grass seed. When would be the best time to put down the pre-emergent and still have the Bermuda grow when we put it down in May?
