I purchased a ornamental Brazleberry peach sorbet blueberry bush from a catalog which is suited for the Waco zone and a large pot.  Recently it has developed rust problems.  Can you recommend a good fungicide and anything else I can do to heal it?

Stink Bugs #222551

They were an annoyance this summer, but assumed they would go away come winter. Now we have what appears to be an indoor infestation. At first, we simply picked them off the ceilings and walls and disposed of them, every night. Numbers seem to increase. For some reason I looked behind a framed piece of art on the wall and discovered 11 critters. I then started looking behind each piece and found some from 2-10 behind each framed piece on wall. We even found one when we replaced the water filter in our refrigerator. How do we deal with this internal problem. In the summer I sent in a photo file to confirm it was a stink bug. It definitely was. It is no longer just an annoyance! Thank you.

1/2 " +, pentagon(?) shaped beetle?. looks like a military tank. they are everywhere,Are they harmful? they look malevolent. Should I be concerned?

Concern about a new beetle #215602

A foundation planting at my home is showing signs of distress. The plant is a cedar about 15 years old. I was first concerned about the huge crop of fruit it had. And also it is loosing a lot of foliage (yellowing) there is one branch tip that looks dead (2 ft length, brown). The past three days I have noticed a new beetle species buzzing around. The largest I've seen is about the size of my index fingernail (i have short nails) they are a trapizoid shapebrown thorax and legs and a darker triangular head. I have lived here for 6 years and spent alot of time on my deck and I have never seen this beetle. I have been smooshing them whenever I see one; one even landed on my glass' lens. I am wondering if they are something to fear. I don't want to loose the cedar. I have a preserved beetle I could mail you. Thanks for help.

Stink bugs #213532

This last spring of 2014, I caught and killed 72 stink bugs inside of our screened in porch. I can't imagine about the population outside of the porch. Today I have spotted 5 Stink bugs. We have noticed them here before. We have lived here since 1977. I have read that on the East coast there is an epidemic of them, so I thought I would mention my experience here in Tigard Oregon to you. Thank you for the work you do. Maurine Hansen

Small Orchard Selection #210553

We are interested in adding a small organic orchard on our land in Collins County.  We are hoping to use a dense planting of reliably semi-dwarfing trees for reduced labor costs during pruning and harvesting. Disease resistance is important.

For apples, my research is suggesting the following varieties: Anna, Rootstock EM 7 (400 chill hours) &  Dorsett Golden, Rootstock EM 7 (350 chill hours)

Are the above apple varieties & rootstock a good idea?

I am unable to find similar information for peaches and plums.  We are also open to any other fruit recommendation.

Is there a list of root stock and fruit varieties that could be suitable for our situation?  If you do not have the information, can you recommend a resource?

We can't seem to purchase or grow jalapeños with any heat. We noticed this starting last year; any jalapeños we have encountered taste like bad bell peppers. Any idea what's going on?
