Hello,
Would vines, such as Virginia Creeper with its adhesive suckering growth be able to climb a concrete wall? Specifically if the concrete wall is ribbed. I am looking to add plants to a parking garage in Minneapolis. The garage has a concrete wall with ribs about 1" in depth with a rough edge. Would this surface be varied enough for a vine such as Virginia Creeper to grow up consistently? I would assume a panel or wire system would improve the vertical growth but have also seen Virginia Creeper growing up many brick walls without any support system. Thanks for your advice!
Best,
