Hello, Can you help me identify a tree in my yard that was planted by the previous owner? I have attached several photos I took today. It gets clusters of small white blossoms that have a very strong odor. The leaves look like evergreen leaves but the tree is deciduous and the leaves turn from deep green to bright red to a dark brown after they fall. Based on the type of tree it is, how would leaf mulch from the tree affect the soil making it more acidic or alkaline? Could I plant culinary herbs in the same soil or will the leaves make the soil toxic? Thank you, Kris Morse

We have a red oak tree that was planted 2 years ago. It was at least 6 inches in diameter when we had it moved it. In the last month or so we have noticed clumps of leaves turning fully brown. Is this normal?

Good evening, I am writing to try and find out what is attacking the leaves of my Japanese maple red dragon. I purchased this tree from a big box store in hopes of saving it as it looked very neglected. However when I brought it home and planted it, the very next day it was showing signs of white discoloration on the leaves. I don’t know if it is powdery white mildew or if there is something else that attacks this type of plant. Or if it is detrimental to the plant itself or just seasonal. Any help is appreciated. I have attached pictures for reference.

What kind of bug is this? I saw this bug crawling on my desk in my room. I have never seen it before, anywhere in my house or elsewhere. Can someone please tell me what it is? Where it came from & how to get rid of ??

What are some shrubs that are deer resistant and shade tolerant

I couldn't figure out why my grass stopped growing. At first I thought it may have been compacted soil, and then I noticed my cherry blossom tree's surface roots and figured that my tree and grass are competing for resources. If I have to choose, I'm definitely taking the tree over the grass.! My question(s) is, should I create a mulch ring around my tree that lightly covers the surface roots to keep them safe from landscapers (HOA)? If yes, my front yard slopes. Should I place a some form of retainer to keep the mulch from getting washed away? Finally, for the remaining area that should be safe to plant grass, should I consider alternative such as clover? Thanks in advance!
