I just recently moved to a house in okemos. I noticed the lawn looks like its not pure blades of grass. Its hard to describe so I'll provide pics. However, the best matches I can find I think are 'bent grass'. Do you give any advice on how to controll it, or is it time to start over? O

Bare root cold storage facility root media #890320

Hello, Our nursery is currently building a small cold storage room for bare root fruit trees.I would like to know if there are certain media that work best for maintaining the proper levels of moisture around roots. I plan to use Doug Fir sawdust in totes. Also, does relative humidity need to be retained throughout the whole cooler space or just around the root area? Thanks

How to treat FIRE stress on mature PINE and Spruce tree #890317

Hello This summer I had to burn down an old Garage and the trees nearby had Significant HEAT stress. Neither tree has any BURN marks from FLAMES. Some of the Pine needles COMBUSTED from the HEAT nearby but not because of flames reaching the TREE. What can I do to help make sure these trees survive. One is a PINE and one is a SPRUCE with are over 40 feet tall. I have been watering them regularly. Would some 10-10-10 fertilizer help? Anything else I can do? Located near Albert Lea, MN 56007

Moles Tunneling in My Blueberry Orchard #890310

Hi, I have a dozen blueberry bushes I've been growing for the past several years in my backyard. This summer I started seeing a lot of raised mound trails with holes scattered around. The whole area is covered with a thick layer of pine bark mulch. My question is will the moles be a threat to my blueberry bushes? Will they eat the shallow roots of the blueberry plants? I also heard that voles may use the tunnels of the voles to eat the root of plants which poses an additional threat. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!!

A nectarine tree that was planted in August 2023 has not dropped its leaves. In November of 2023 it did drop its leaves. The leaves are limp and mostly green. They are not deformed or discolored. No signs of pests or disease.
