Hi, the last two mornings I have had one of these on my stove. Don't know what they are or where they came from. Maybe you can help? Someone just gave me a big bag of acorns they picked up off the ground. These are near the stove. Could there be a connection??

This growing season I noticed many crabapple trees with fewer leaves too early in the season. Not all of the crabapple trees were affected but many were. What caused these affected trees to loose leaves prematurely? Is it possible to prevent this premature leaf loss in future seasons and if so, how?

Someone chewed bark and branches off this baby giant sequoia. Can it be saved? It was planted in spring of 2023 and survived one winter and two summers without any issues. I live in NW PDX

I have found an approved recipe for Huckleberry jam, but I wondered if I could leave out the pectin or use less pectin and make it a huckleberry syrup? We have a 32 year old Norway spruce, about 45 ft tall. We are losing section of new pine about 4-5 inches. This is not needles put pieces of pine sections that is making the tree look less full. One person thought we might have bag worms . We are having a hard time finding someone to tell how to stop this & apply an insecticide if that is what the tree needs. Any information will be appreciated. Thank you.

Good afternoon, I am a loan officer for the USDA, Farm Service Agency in Pendleton, OR. I am currently working with a borrower that has a corn seed and grass seed operation in Hermiston, OR. Although he contracts out his corn and grass seed, I was wondering if you could provide me any sort of price/lb. or price/bu. averages and yield averages that are typical for Umatilla County. He currently produces irrigated corn seed, Kentucky Bluegrass grass seed, Perennial Ryegrass grass seed, Tall Fescue grass seed, Timothy grass seed, and Wheatgrass grass seed. Any sort of county average breakdown would be great, as there is not a ton of research or information on corn and grass seed in our area.

Hello, I know this may be in the grey area of what you can answer, however I know the type of mushroom I am dealing with. I have a flower garden next to the back door of my house which has a pretty healthy colony of stink horns living in it. Normally, I wouldn't mind some mushrooms popping up but these things STINK! Is there a safe way to get rid of these without damaging the flowers in the bed?

White Swamp Oak - leaves turning yellow - #888533

The leaves on our Swamp Oak are turning yellow and dropping. Generally the leaves turn brown and remain on the tree through winter until spring. There are sppts on the underside that look like some type of insect. Do you recognize and suggest a treatment. See pictures
