potatoes surviving a spring frost #555819

I started my potatoes in a potato bag in the garage, where we have a heated floor. They have grown so well, that they have completely filled the bag with all the soil added. Since the leaves are now growing out of the soil, I believe they should be outside exposed to sunlight.

My question is, "if I put them out now and they are exposed to a frost, will the leaves die back effecting the growth of the potatoes"?

Hello, do I need to replant this so the new the new growth will get bigger? The bigger leaves on the bottom are old..from when I bought the plant over a year ago and much bigger. Some fell off and I got a lot of new leaves. I’m not sure if being in a smaller pot doesn’t allow the new leaves to grow. It’s currently in a 4 inch pot. Thank you.

Tomato plants die every year. Why? #475767

Every year I plant tomato plants, sometimes from seed, sometimes from varying nurseries.
Every year they grow up well and about August 1, they suddenly begin wilting from the top down  in a few days.  
They have started wilting again this year.
I water them well any time there is no rain for two days.
I have pulled  them up to look for root bugs etc.....none. 
I have put them in raised beds with newly purchased soil....still wilt and die.
Does anyone want to see them as this happens?
Th  experts just shrug and don't know.
Is there a real expert out there that can identifythe problem..........or is this another case of the exotic, South American jungle potato thesslonium verite virus imported on the back of the henson's varigated brazalian three toed drisolopha that snuck in under the Chiquita Banana label from Krogers?

Every 'expert' I consult just has no idea of what is happening?

 What is the problem....is everyone just stumped?

Our house in Duluth recently had a silver maple removed because it was rotting and had grown into the electric lines for two houses. Half of the back yard has electric lines running through them. I can plant a trees in such a way it is ten feet from an electric line. Should I plan a tree or leave the back yard treeless due to the electric lines.

Is this plant a"horsetail"? And what is the scientific name of the plant? #432993

All my adult life, I've referred to the plant, in the three images, as a "horsetail", but all of the WWW images show a green plant in very moist conditions, and none of the WWW photos are similar to what I 'captured'. This plant flourishes in an arid landscape, and in thin sandy soil. It grow up to five-feet tall, and most commonly, as a single 'stalk'.  The submitted images were captured at Cherry Creek State Park, on Friday, 27Oct2017.. I am most interested in its scientific name.
