When removing wet leaves from a garden bed, I discovered a white fungus along the wood edging and on a separate piece of wood. Air circulation is not optimal in this area due to neighbors fence. I can not find pictures for reference to name it. I want to make sure it is not blastomycosis. Can I use the baking soda, vegetable oil and water formula to eradicate it? Or is there a better treatment. Thank you.
Will you please send the 2025 County Fair schedule for Marion, Polk, Yamhill, Benton, Lincoln and Linn counties? As a part of our community service we schedule free community shred events and often hold them at our local fairgrounds. Thank you.
Hi - We have a few trees in our yard that have attracted lantern flies - and now the females are laying eggs on it. We'd like to get help removing the eggs - do you know of any businesses/people who do this sort of pest removal?
Also - I vaguely remember reading somewhere that one way of mitigating lanternflies is having a ring on the trees during the spring that can capture the young as they move down the tree. Is this true?
We have a large wooded yard. In the past 2 years we have noted --in different areas of a nearly one-acre yard--groups of shrubs or trees that are completely dead after being vigorous for nearly 50 years. Even a large grove of bamboo has mysteriously died. We have never discouraged any bamboo disappearing, but it has been our experience that it is virtually indestructible. We have always maintained a completely organic approach to yard care and we have lived here for more than 35 years. We would like to have the soil tested in the various areas where the damage has occurred.
Please advise how we can proceed. Thank-you
I'd like to sow grass seed in areas of my fescue lawn that have died off in the past year. Could you let me know if any grass seed will grow at this time of year? If possible, please be as specific as possible! All the choices at Home Depot are overwhelming!
Is this a symbiotic lichen or fungal disease or something else? (1st picture)
This is a clear substance coming out of the base of this (plum?) tree. What is it and how should it be treated. (2nd picture)
