I fertilize my lawn in the fall, so in the spring, I use crabgrass preventers without fertilizer. I have historically used 0-0-7 products, which I have learned the potassium is a "carrier". I am thinking about using the Scotts Halts Crabgrass & Grassy Weed Preventer, which I confirmed with Scotts is 0-0-0.
Is there any advantage of a 0-0-7 product over a 0-0-0 product? Does the carrier provide a benefit?
Thank you.
