I am interested in planting dwarf apple trees specifically honeycrisp. I know I need a cross pollinator and I need a sunny location. I would love to know any resources available to help me make wise choices in selecting and caring for the apple trees. I would also like to know if you have a list of local nurseries as most of the apple trees I found are available to be shipped from out of state. I would like to know if this is a wise idea or if I'm causing more of a headache for the future. I have never had Apple trees. I understand they need to be pruned and shaped. I would like to know what sort of pests I need to be aware of and how to prevent them. We have pawpaw trees and some other smaller local fruit trees as well as berry bushes.

In the past years we have had Downy mildew kill out Cucumber and Melon plants. I heard there are plants that are resistant to this mold. Where can I buy them, and the names of these varities ?

Hello, In Dec 2020 we had a large oak taken down that was damaged and leaning toward the house. We left the stump and we've enjoyed it being there. But it's starting to rot. in the pictures you can see a pile of chips created last week, probably from a woodpecker finding some nice bugs inside. I'm trying to decide what to do -- is it too late to try to preserve it in place? Online articles say it might attract unwanted pests (termites etc.) Someone suggested burning it, or I could pay someone to bring in a stump grinder... Do you have any advice? Thank you.

Hello! I have a green Japanese maple tree that was approximately 6 feet tall and was planted 2 years ago. Initially, the plant thrived but this year died. I also have a red Japanese maple tree in the same area that died. My neighbors have a in ground pool that overflows periodically could that have contributed to the death of the tree? Both trees are protected from deer and rabbit. I have large black walnut trees in the area. Thank you!

Hello, I am looking for a short to medium sized plant for a shade location next to the sidewalk. It is a favorite place for dogs to urinate. I have tried a azalea, and columbine. Both plants have failed to thrive. Thank you

how do i care for columnar apple tree

I currently have full guardianship of a minor. She is seven years old. She has been with us for 2 1/2 years after six months of having her her biological mom file determinate the guardianship since June 1922 we have been in court with no permanency plan being put in place We went into the guardianship expecting to adopt as that’s what we wanted and the biological mom wanted so my question is what can I do to keep her from taking the minor back? Do I have any legal standing to file to terminate her rights? She has been compliant with the courts mostly but obviously they have not deemed her enough to take the minor back.

I believe last year I posted a question about these inkberry hollies but I can't find it.  Last year I moved these inkberries and I believe I overwatered them.  Their leaves, then began to turn black in parts.  In March I elevated them in an effort to make sure they were not sitting too low in the ground and amended the soil.  The leaves are turning black and brown again.  I am not sure what might be the issue.  I do not see and evidence of bugs on them and I am not sure if I see evidence of a fungus.  Any thoughts on what might be the issue?  They are in an area which gets both sun and shade.
