Maple Tree having problems #893591

I have a 46-year-old maple tree that has taken a turn for the worst after I had it trimmed 3 years ago. The center 2 trunks do not have any new branches growing on them and the tree is showing signs of rot. Should I have the tree removed or is there a way to save it? I have enclosed 2 pictures.
Harford County Maryland
Expert Response
The tree should be removed as soon as possible given its fall appears to threaten people or property.
It has likely lost structural integrity given the large dead center limbs, bark sloughing off on others, and the rot on the main trunk.
That makes it a fall risk, especially in wind or storms.
