Colorado Master Gardener classes are held every November-March online. Training is a big commitment with 14 classes online. There are also scheduled in person labs as well in Denver County.

After completion of the classes and an orientation in March, our Colorado Master Gardeners in training called 'Apprentices', volunteer with us in Denver County at various events and in community programs for 50 hours between April-October.

Some of the volunteer activities include staffing gardening information booths at farmers markets/events/festivals, volunteering at our annual plant sale, giving gardening presentations to groups and school children and teaching others gardening on site in a public or non-profit garden.

We will begin accepting applications for the 2026 Master Gardener Program in August 2025, please consider applying then. I can place your name on a list and send you a link when the application window opens again next August, please let me know if you would like to be on this list.

Be a part of our Certified Colorado Gardner Program: same classes and curriculum as the CO Master Gardener Program but without the volunteer obligation:

Applications for this portion are available in late August and there are scholarships available.

Upon completion of this option, you may apply to become a Colorado Master Gardener within three (3) years of their completed training without having to re-take the core training program.
