Expert Response
Thank you for your question, Bernard. Unfortunately, the Metro Extension offices do not do soil testing. The only certified lab in the Portland Metro area is A & L:
21830 SW Alexander Ln.
Sherwood, OR 97140

Here is the web page with instructions: https://al-labs-west.com/soil-analysis/
You can request recommendations for soil amendments, both for pH and nutrients, but need to tell them which plant species are grown in the soil, so the plants' needs are met. I hope this is helpful. Good luck!

It appears that OSU also tests for pH and soil nutrients. Here is their fee schedule: https://cropandsoil.oregonstate.edu/sites/agscid7/files/crop-soil/assets/fy23_fee_book_mar_-_june.pdf
