Mowed dead tansy ragwort #891431

I mowed dead plants my alpaca died because of that. My question is will that area mowed stay toxic because of the fall rain

Could you share more information about the plants that you mowed and that you suspect killed your llama? What type of plant was it? If you're unsure, please attach pictures.

I now see the information in your subject line; I apologize. Tansy ragwort can come back even after mowing. If it is a small area, you can hand-pull it or use an herbicide labeled for tansy ragwort. If there is a lot of tansy ragwort across a big area you may have to look into pasture renovation options.
