Wondering what impact it would have on my 2 acre spring fed pond if i sowed wild rice? Im up in talkeetna. About 50% of the pond is less than 4 ft deep. Could it become invasive? How good of an idea is this from dumb to food security.

Based on the characteristics for wildrice, it is not likely to produce mature seed anywhere in Southcentral Alaska. The USFWS experimented with it on the Kenai and it was not successful. I'm linking an older article about it from 2011 below -
