Thanks for reaching out. The easiest plants for hydroponics systems are ones that don't set fruit. So instead of tomatoes or peppers, consider leafy greens (lettuce, kale) and herbs (basil does great!)

This article from the University of Minnesota covers the basics of small-scale hydroponics and has some plant selection ideas. And you can grow tomatoes, but would need to hand pollinate since the insects & wind aren't present indoors.
