I live in Duluth and have a very old, very large backyard apple tree over 80” in diameter and I’m wondering if Extension has any resources for determining apple variety. It’s a waxy-skinned, golden, pear-like flavored apple and I would love to know exactly what variety it is. Thank you.

Sorry, UMN Extension does not have this service. The third web page has a reference to a service in California that does testing. You may find others through an online search.
