Should I surround my 3 small boxwood shrubs and 2 small juniper trees with leaf mulch before winter? They are on the north side of my house and are about two years old. They are in a wood chip mulch bed. I also plan to wrap them with burlap as I have had ones damaged prior to these. should I wrap them completely or leave the top open to air?

Expert Response
See these web pages, especially the last one. Watering is most important. Mulch of any kind helps. Closing the top of the burlap is okay. See the comment about air circulation.
