A few days ago I asked where I could get soil from my raised beds tested. You did send me a link to a lab, but they are charging around $50 for their test. This is well beyond my budget. Can you send me link(s) to a more affordable option? I am in North Portland. Thanks!

Thanks, Kieran. I am the person who gave you that information. As I indicated, this is the only lab in the Metro area that does testing. You may be able to find cheaper labs by searching on the Internet, but, unfortunately, the Metro Extension Service isn't equipped to do them in our offices, and in the other state offices that do, they can only test pH, not soil nutrients. You can purchase inexpensive kits in garden centers, which may be mostly accurate. Sorry.
