Birch Trees #889748

Asked November 12, 2024, 6:56 PM EST

I currently pay $500 per year to have 4 large Birch trees treated for an evasive beetle that feeds on birch trees. I’m wondering if the treatment is necessary. If it is necessary, can the OSU Extension Service recommend alternate strategies for treating the beetle that feeds on birch trees. I’m also wondering if the mushrooms that grow under birch trees are edible.
