Bugs on Brussel Sprouts #889647

Asked November 11, 2024, 10:07 AM EST

I have found several groups of these gray bugs on the leaves of my Brussel sprouts. Under a lens they look like they might be aphids, but I'm not sure. I also have a few whiteflies on my plants, but they don't seem to be the same as these gray bugs. Can you help me identify them? Thanks, Robert

Expert Response

Hello Robert,

We agree that they appear to be aphids (and not whiteflies), though it's hard to see enough detail in the photo to be certain that they're aphids. They should be easy to squish or blast off the foliage with a jet of hose water either way, fortunately.
