I have received three different ways to water my Carmel creeper plants. First I was told that the only way to water was by soaker hose. Then I was told to water by hand. I wanted to do a drip system, but was told not to do that because it would cause root rot. My gardener also said to do a drip system. Would appreciate a response. Additionally it would be on a sprinkler system so how long to water and what size of emitter. The plants are on a hill and the purpose is to have them grow to prevent erosion.
