Hi! I see on your website it still says (11/6/24) the oak wilt status is "Use Caution". Is this correct? We are still not safe to prune oaks? Last year the status changed to "safe" in mid October.

It has been too warm and the picnic beetles that transmit oak wilt may still present.
However, the numbers of insects are low. If you read the entire fact sheet Nov. is a safe month to prune oaks and the temps at night have dropped into the low 40s.
It would be good if the web page is updated but seems to have been overlooked.
