Carpet beetle larvae or something else? #889403

Found these in three stacked drawers- the top had placemats some made from natural fibers, Middle (with the largest infestation) had recipe books, note books and newspapers; the bottom drawer contains table linens. These drawers are built into my eating area on hardwood floors. Ruler in picture is in mm

These do appear to be Carpet Beetle larvae, yes. They do not feed on clean synthetic or man-made fabrics or paper, but they can use organic debris. Fortunately, vacuuming is usually all that is needed to get rid of them and discourage a return.
