How to Use an Inox Pessure Cooker #889263

Asked November 03, 2024, 12:10 PM EST

I recently pulled my Inox pressure cooker I bought in the 70s out of storage and don't remember how to use it. I realized I can't use it for canning; however, I used to cook in it but can't find any recipes or instructions for this particular style because it doesn't have an overpressure plug. I cooked rice last night and it turned out perfect but I'd like to cook other foods. Do you have any resources? I'm not finding anything online for this particular style of pressure cooker.

I am not familiar with that particular brand of pressure saucepans, but they all work about the same as far as cooking goes.  Since you cooked rice, you have figured out how to operate it so you can certainly try other recipes from pressure saucepan books.  Might go to the local library and check out some books for recipes.  There are also lots of good recipes on the internet for pressure saucepans.

I am not sure but think this brand is from Europe.  The internal temperature is around 250 degrees F. so they cook fast.  I use mine all the time and love how quickly it cooks.

Sorry I do not have definite instructions for you.  Just be sure the rubber gasket is in good working order and if there is a safety plug it is not cracked or dried out.
