manure, mulch and woodchip sources #889200

Do you help connect gardeners/composters with manure, mulch and wood chip resources? I am north of Eugene in Harrisburg/Coburg area. Thanks so much! Peyta

Expert Response

Hi Peyta,

There are several places to call. Most of the soil shops that deliver different types of soil and landscaping materials have compost as well.

We do not give out commercial business names. However, if you Google "manure Eugene Oregon" several companies will pop up in your area.

The local Master Gardener Extension office will have sources - they are in Eugene<personal data hidden>.

You might also try "woodland" in the inquiry. There are lumber companies around, however, I do not know if they sell their sawdust and wood chips to the public.

Also, you can contact Chip Drop
https://getchipdrop.com

This is a free service although they do ask for donations. You put your name in and if they are in your area and need a place to drop wood chips, they come to your yard and drop newly chipped wood from their cuttings.

Good luck in your quest. Contact us again if you have any further questions.
