Which bulbs to plant for spring and summer blooms #887591

I am wanting to plant bulbs in pots this fall so that I will have beautiful potted plants next spring and summer. However, this is the first time I've planted bulbs and I need some help. First, which bulbs should I plant? I'd like to combine a few different types so that I have something blooming in the pot starting in spring and all the way to fall. Is that possible? And which bulbs work well in Northern Colorado? Second, when and how do I plant and take care of them over the fall and winter? Should I keep the pots in my garage?

As far as what grows well in Colorado - not as big a concern if you are doing in pots instead of the ground.
