I started the hostas from seed in June. They are still very small. Do they all need to come in for winter? Could I shelter them under the large hostas in the yard(dig them in)?

If you can provide the correct amount of light for them inside, it might be best to do so. If not, then plant them and mulch heavily as soon as freezing temperatures occur.
