Identify tree from bark and cross section? #885209

Are you able to tell me what kind of tree the logs are from in the attached pictures? I know it's deciduous, but I didn't get a picture of the leaves before it fell down in a recent storm and the County came and cut it up. It was blown over after a rain, with the ground being so wet.

Unfortunately no, we can't ID the tree from the images alone and foliage can be key for separating trees with similar-looking bark. If you do find foliage you can photograph (maybe pieces left behind that weren't ground-up or hauled away by the county), we're happy to take a look.
