Are my apples ripe? #884099

Hi I purchased a snow sweet tree a few years ago. This year it has quite a bunch of apples. From the research I’ve done it seems to say this variety is a late season October ripe tree. The apples currently on there now look pretty close to fully ripe. I am wondering if they are ok to pick. I’m not sure if this a result of the very mild winter we had or not.

They look delicious. Makes my mouth water. It is entirely possible that the early spring has affected ripening time. The only way to tell for sure is to pick one and taste it. Some apples retain some greenish or yellow stripes when ripe so that is not a reliable indication. Enjoy your bountiful harvest!
