Spots on leaves and weeds #881019

I have noted many weeds in my garden and some leaves in my neighbors yard with spots. I’m unsure if it’s a disease or eggs? Wondering if you can identify it and let me know if it’s harmful or not. Thank you.

Thank you for your question and pictures for Extension. Your plants are affected by leaf spot, a fungus that causes spots on the leaves. It is harmless and will not affect the plant unless it covers the leaves and appears year after year. We have had a very wet spring/summer and we are getting lots of questions on leaf spot. It's important you clean up your garden in the fall and dispose the leaves as they can carry the disease over the winter into next spring.
