Is it flying around or in the walls?
Checking back one more time. Was it flying around or in the walls?
It was flying around. Had a bat removal person come the next day - couldn’t find the bat. Have since started the rabies PEP vaccine and tried to find any points of entry to plug holes.
Hi again;
You are taking the correct steps to try to find the entry spots and plugging them. One way to discover those entries is to watch outside a bit before dusk to see if they leave the house and you can see the spot and/or turn out all the lights in the attic or other rooms to see any light shining through cracks. Inside, you may hear sounds in the walls or hear a clicking noise if they are still there. You will also see droppings. With any luck, they have moved on and the job will be to keep reviewing the house to block points of entry.

I am afraid I cannot offer any advice in regard to rabies - reach out to your doctor for any further questions on that.
